23 Aug 2007 - by Email Dear Leigh & Tony, Now that we are just about settled in to our new home, I just wanted to drop you a short note to say thank you. The move went very smoothly and was probably as close to seamless as it is possible to get. The crews – packing and removal – were excellent. They were friendly, courteous, efficient, helpful and willing to help in any way they could. This high level of professionalism and was also echoed in the administration side of things, which was carried out in the same efficient and friendly manner. We hope that we do not have to move home again very soon, but if we did, we would have no hesitation in using Arnold & Self again. Likewise, we would have no hesitation in recommending Arnold & Self to anyone else. 4th January 2006 Dear Sir RE: REMOVAL 16TH DECEMBER 2005 On Friday, 16th December your Company moved my furniture and assorted belongings from a third floor flat to a house in Sutton and I felt that you should be made aware of the excellent service that I have received from your Company throughout the whole process. The gentleman who came to do the quote arrived a bit early but not before checking that it was convenient to me. When I lost the house that I was intending to buy I must have driven Kerry mad with phone calls changing the delivery address, arranging delivery of boxes etc., and then not being able to accept the quote formally until eight days before I was due to move. She was so pleasant when I spoke to her – nothing was too difficult. Then came the 16th December and the van turned up at the appointed time with three of your removal men. They were brilliant!! I was still frantically taping up boxes and they just worked around me. I got in a panic because I hadn’t had time to disconnect the TV and video so they just did it for me. The whole day when like clockwork – who said moving home was stressful! Please pass on my sincere thanks to all those who helped with my move – they are a credit to your Company. I have completed the Quality Questionnaire that was given to me by the driver and have returned that to the National Guild of Removers as requested. 29th October 2005 Dear Andy I am writing to thank you for the great service your Firm gave us when we traveled to and from camp. The driver was very helpful as usual, especially on the return journey, when our equipment was wet and muddy, due to the bad weather during the week and also on that final day. I enclose a small donation. I know you allow us to have the vehicles FOC, but if we can, I do like to give a small donation to you. We had a good camp despite the weather, and although some of the first timer campers went home mid-week as they couldn't cope with the weather, I don’t think too many have been put off. Next year will be different as Janette and myself will be camping separately. This is due to our combined numbers being almost unmanageable, and also the need of finding a new Q.M. as Jaguer has resigned due to family commitments. Asking someone new to come in and cater for nearly fifty is not fair on them, so this is a good time to make the break. Janette has her Camp Licence, just doesn’t use it very much! I’m not sure how this will affect our relationship with yourself, and whether or not you will be able to help us out in the future. My Unit will be camping 29th July to 5th August, but whether Janette will camp at the same time, I don’t know. 30th August 2005 Dear Mr Webb Just a short note to say that we were extremely pleased with the way our house move progressed on Friday 26th August from Horley to Redhill. Leigh, Spike and Richard the driver were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them, which is refreshing in this day and age. The weather was awful, we had not packed as well as we had planned, and the so-called professional piano movers cancelled the job 20 minutes after they should have arrived. The complete day could have been a total disaster, but your men took it all in their stride and stayed bright and cheerful for the whole time. It was a pleasure to have them around the house and certainly saved my blood pressure! Even being faced with the piano move didn't upset them. From Mr and Mrs Chapman 29th June 2001 They say that moving house is a most stressful experience and as my husband and I had been in our house in Wimbledon for 42 years, it was extremely stressful but when Michael arrived on the Monday morning half an hour early bright and cheerful he had been working on the Sunday as well. He started work and his two colleagues soon arrived they worked so hard with about a ten min break in that very hot weather until the packing was completed. On the Tuesday Michael arrived early and the van not long after and then another van arrived with two more helpers. What a super team all bright, so helpful to us the second van left to go to another job and our three men carried on. It felt like the hottest day for years but they worked loading the van no complaining until we left for Selsey. They unpacked no grumbling just out to help us all the time. At 7pm they left us and returned home. Thank you for sending us such a wonderful team who really cared about our moving day.

Even though there were one or two tasks we probably should have undertaken ourselves beforehand but through lack didn't get around to (dismantling a large wardrobe and a double bed), without hesitation, your staff made it clear this would not be a problem and cheerfully carried out the work themselves. The Christmas in church is pretty much the high spot of the school year and your help was an important part of getting it to happen again. All the parents, grandparents and friends I spoke to loved it. The men who came with the van were each time polite, friendly and efficient.

From Mrs V Monaghan 25th July 2000 Our move is completed, with the collection of the boxes on Saturday. There were times on the Wednesday when I thought it was all slipping out of control but on the arrival of the actual moving team on Thursday, it brightened up considerably and it was a pleasure to work with them. There was a lot more to do than we expected but good humour and enthusiasm got us through. You should be proud of them, and I would certainly use you again should I ever wish to repeat the experience!
